Brain Injury Services receives 2024 Martha Glennan Disability Inclusion and Equality Award

The Fairfax Area – Disability Services Board’s Martha Glennan Disability Inclusion and Equality Awards are presented annually to recognize people, businesses, nonprofits, government agencies, and other organizations that excel in demonstrating a commitment to promoting equal rights and community inclusion for people with disabilities in the Fairfax area and how people with disabilities have significantly benefitted from their efforts.

On December 9, 2024, the Fairfax Area-Disability Services Board presented the Martha Glennan Disability Inclusion and Equality Awards to Brain Injury Services.  Brain Injury Services was recognized as the winner in the organizational category for their service and support to survivors of brain injury, their families, caregivers and the communities where they live. Brain Injury Services has achieved considerable success in promoting full inclusion and equality for individuals with disabilities by addressing barriers and creating pathways. They address immediate needs and ensure that people with disabilities can achieve a better quality of life and participate fully in their communities.
