Brain Injury Services remains a vital link to community-based services for people living with brain injury in Northern Virginia and surrounding counties.

Brain Injury Services remains a vital link to community-based services for people living with brain injury in Northern Virginia and surrounding counties. Last year, we provided FREE person-centered services to over one thousand individuals with an acquired brain injury.

With your referrals, Brain Injury Services supports your patients, clients, or students on many levels as they conquer fears, discover new skills, prepare for social situations, and overcome physical challenges while making new friends. Our programs offer a personalized approach that helps our clients make informed choices to achieve their goals.

Brain Injury Services helps clients adapt to change due to a brain injury.

Reagan Bischoff worked with the ComPASS Program to build her skills and gain confidence, which she now shares with everyone who faces the challenge of a brain injury. She started her YouTube channel, THROW LEFTIE, to share tips and hacks for others with paralysis. This led to her being named one of People Magazine’s ‘Girls Changing the World.’

Derek O’Neal, a veteran of Desert Storm and former auto industry executive whose car accident caused a career-ending brain injury, gained confidence through our Speakers’ Bureau Program. He now uses his voice to combat the stigma associated with brain injury and provides voice-overs in commercials and acting programs.

Andrew Davie was a middle and high school English and writing teacher when he experienced a ruptured brain aneurysm and subarachnoid hemorrhage.  Andrew received the emotional and mental health support needed to recover with our Adult Case Management Program. In January 2022, Andrew registered for classes at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where he will earn a degree in mental health counseling.
