Why Should I Participate?
More than 400,000 Northern Virginians are currently living with brain injuries. When you sponsor a duck you will join us in raising awareness and funding for the free programs and services provided by Brain Injury Services. These programs directly impact 1,140 brain injury survivors through community support, person-centered case management, counseling, support groups, and much more.
How Do I Participate?
Choose the type of rubber ducks you want to sponsor. We will launch all the sponsored rubber ducks for their swim in Cub Run Rec Center’s lazy river.
We invite you to come join us in person for the race and enjoy cider and donuts at Cub Run Rec Center. If you can’t make it in person, you can watch the race via our Facebook livestream.

Which Rubber Ducks Should I Sponsor?
- Armed Forces Ducks and Veteran Ducklings: By sponsoring an armed forces duck or veteran ducklings you will help our veteran’s programs and services that serve local veterans who have a traumatic brain injury.
- Yellow Ducks: Sponsor a yellow duck if you or someone you know has a traumatic brain injury from a fall, accident, or suffered a stroke. By sponsoring a yellow duck, you will be showing support for thousands of Northern Virginians living with a disability due to a traumatic brain injury or stroke.
- Ducklings: Sponsor a duckling, and you will show support for our pediatrics program and honor hundreds of children and teens in Northern Virginia who have a brain injury from a sports injury, accident, or abuse.
- In Memory or In Honor of Ducks: Sponsor a duck in memory of, or in honor of, family members or friends.
