Serving Our Veterans

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a significant health issue that affects service members and veterans during times of both peace and war. The high rate of TBI and blast-related concussion events resulting from current combat operations directly impacts the health and safety of service members.

The Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC) reported more than 408,000 TBIs among U.S. service members worldwide between 2000 and early 2019

Brain Injury Services (BIS), has more than 25 years’ experience providing community-based services to survivors of TBI, and has programs which can help veterans.

Through the Veterans Integration Program (VIP), veterans and military personnel living in Northern Virginia and Fredericksburg area can access our specialized programs and services. Our services, designed specifically for survivors of brain injuries, are intended to work alongside other veteran services that may already be in place.
