How to participate in person:

Attend Brain Injury Awareness Day February 5th! We'll have everything you need to give to your elected officials and ask for their support. Join advocates gathering at the General Assembly building to fight for more funding and community-based services for Virginians affected by brain injury.

Our Needs Statement for each budget amendment and bill

BIS will be taking a small group to Richmond- there are limited seats available. Seats will be first come first serve. 

If you are interested, please email Aleena Gardezi at to register. 

So you can be comfortable on the bus, bring anything that you might need to be comfortable on the bus (water bottle, snacks, pillow, blanket, book, etc.).

A reminder of the tentative schedule for the day:

6:30 am-  Depart Springfield (8136 Old Keene Mill Rd)
7:30 am -  Depart Fredericksburg (927 Maple Grove Dr, #107)
9:00 am - Arrive in Richmond at the Virginia General Assembly

12:00 PM Depart Richmond

1:00-1:30 pm – Arrive Fredericksburg (927 Maple Grove Dr, #107)
2:00-2:30 pm - Arrive Springfield  (8136 Old Keene Mill Rd)
