The Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA) is pleased to announce that the Congressional Brain Injury Task Force, chaired by Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-N.J.), has scheduled Brain Injury Awareness Day on Capitol Hill Wednesday, March 13, 2019. As in years past, there will be an awareness fair, congressional briefing, and reception.
Brain Injury Services is celebrating Brain Injury Awareness Month by facilitating a Spirit Week that clients and staff are welcome to participate in. The Spirit Week will take place Monday, March 11th through Friday, March 15th. The themes for each day are listed below.

Charlie Scuilla died peacefully and much loved on Feb 14, 2019 at the age of 70. He had suffered a stroke in June 2017 that left him paralyzed. His family thanks the many friends and family members that contributed to his care through a GOFUNDME page and sent words of encouragement and prayers.
As a part of Brain Injury Awareness Month, BIS Fredericksburg is hosting a "spirit night” fundraiser at Red Robin in Cosner’s Corner.
Baker's Crust in Ashburn has named Brain Injury Services as their community partner for March.
Every month, the organization partners with a charitable organization to show their support. "A Stake in your community" is on Mondays after 4:00 pm and features a $9 steak dinner. $1 from every steak dinner will be donated to Brain Injury Services.
Salon Khouri has featured Brain Injury Services as their March Community Outreach Partner and will be donating $1 from every haircut this month from their Fairfax and Dulles locations.
