Ohhh nooo!!! What’s that in the water? It’s an invasion of little rubber ducks! The third annual Brain Injury Services Rubber Duck Race is now set for Friday, November 18, to recognize the ways that brain trauma impacts veterans and other Northern Virginians.

Why Should I Participate?

400,000 Northern Virginians are currently living with brain injuries, including veterans. Join us in raising awareness and funding for the Brain Injury Services programs that directly impact 1,000 brain injury survivors through community support, person-centered case management, counseling, support groups and much more.

How Do I Participate? And Can My Office, Club & Sports Team Participate?

Lots of ways! Use this race to raise awareness of how prevalent brain injury is and how to recognize and prevent it. Concussions are Traumatic Brain Injuries

  • Military Ducks: Honor a veteran with a military duck! By sponsoring a military duck you will help our veteran’s programs and services that serve local veterans who have a traumatic brain injury.
  • Yellow Ducks: If you know someone who has a traumatic brain injury from a fall, accident or suffered a stroke, you need to sponsor a yellow duck!  By sponsoring a yellow duck, you will be showing support for thousands of Northern Virginians living with a disability as a result of a traumatic brain injury or stroke.
  • Neon Ducks: Sponsor a neon duckling and you will show support for our pediatrics program and honor hundreds of kids in Northern Virginia who have a traumatic brain injury aka concussion related to a sports injury, accident or abuse.
  • In Honor of Ducks: Sponsor a duck in memory of family members or friends.
